Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

Straightforward terms, in plain language — because you're trusting us with family matters, not just an account.

1. About ShadiRegistrar

ShadiRegistrar is a family-to-family rishta (matchmaking) platform. Accounts are held by guardians who manage one or more Rishta profiles on behalf of marriage candidates in their family. By creating an account you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you have the candidate's consent to represent them on this platform.

2. Accurate information

All information submitted in a Rishta profile must be truthful and current. Misrepresenting a candidate's age, marital status, education, or family circumstances is grounds for removal of the profile and the guardian account, without refund of any unused credits.

3. Proposals and credits

Each new account includes a free proposal allowance. Further proposals and Family Meetup questions require credits purchased through the platform. Credits spent on a proposal are automatically returned if the proposal is declined or does not receive a response; credits spent on questions are not refundable. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred between accounts.

4. Respectful conduct

This platform serves families. Harassment, unsolicited contact outside the platform's proposal process, or any misuse of another family's contact information will result in immediate account termination. Contact details are shared only after both families consent through the proposal process, and must be treated with the discretion that implies.

5. Our role

ShadiRegistrar facilitates introductions between families. We verify payment submissions and moderate reported content, but we do not vet candidates, guarantee the accuracy of profile information, or take responsibility for the outcome of any introduction. Families are expected to carry out their own due diligence before proceeding with any match.

6. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
